This is Charlene, the executive director of The Dignified Learning Project.
The Dignified Learning Project is looking for part-time interns!
We prefer interns to be undergraduate or graduate students and to be living in the San Diego area, though we can work with you if you do not match these preferences.
-approximately 15 hours a week
-very flexible with your schedule
-unpaid positions (they will become paid positions when our funds increase)
A list of internships with job descriptions are as follows:
College Advisors Interns – These individuals will work with students of all ages to develop timelines for applications, financial aid, and discover options. They will stick with the student throughout college and help with various areas, including transfer applications, scholarships, etc. They will also conduct workshops that discuss how to give back to the community and the importance of recognizing advantages in order to help reduce inequalities.
Testing Interns – The SAT tutors will help students of all backgrounds to get ready for the SAT and ACT.
Development Intern – This position will help with fundraising, grant writing, and seeking out other potential funding.
Website Developer Intern – This position will assist with the website layout, design, and maintaining it.
Accounting Intern – This requires little weekly commitment, but will help with creating ledgers, maintaining the ledgers, and ensuring all books are in order.
Administrative Intern – We are looking for somebody who can help manage calendars, send out newsletters, and help create interesting topics to write about for our website.
